Mrs Crook's AP Lang classes are Brewing Hysteria as a part of their unit based on The Crucible by Arthur Miller. Brewing hysteria - students were given one of the 4 symbols: Poppet (revenge) Yellow bird (mob mentality) Gavel (abusing power) Frog (superstition) Inside the cauldron, they explained the context of the symbol within the play and provided evidence... Outside of the cauldron, they explained how this "ingredient" helped contribute to the mass hysteria throughout Salem. Next day, students began working on their cause and effect essay where they argued what the main causes of the hysteria were. They used the "Hysteria Brew" from other classmates to help their brainstorming.

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) will be given on March 19, 2024. All 11th grade students will take the ASVAB on that day. An opt out letter was sent home on Friday, February 9, during homeroom. You only need to return it if your parent/guardian does not want you to take the ASVAB. The deadline to return opt out letters is March 1, 2024. Students should return the letters to their homeroom teacher or the front desk.
