The Very Hungry Caterpillar. We all made caterpillars and placed them on leaves. Each day, the caterpillars had eaten holes in our leaves. Two weeks ago, we came in and there were cocoons! Today we opened them and our caterpillars had turned to butterflies!😍

In this activity, students practice writing their names in lowercase letters and then use capital letter stickers to spell their names again. This reinforces letter recognition, strengthens handwriting skills, and helps students understand the connection between uppercase and lowercase letters.

In this activity, Pre-K students are using counting bears to create three-color patterns. They are working on recognizing patterns, counting objects, and developing fine motor skills while having fun learning.

Our Prek students had a fun, hands-on snack activity where they made “Worms in Dirt.” They crushed chocolate and vanilla sandwich cookies to create the “dirt,” then layered it with creamy pudding in cups. To finish, they added gummy worms on top and throughout the layers. The activity encouraged creativity, sensory exploration, and fine motor skills while giving the children a tasty treat they were proud to make themselves.

The visit created a fun and meaningful learning experience, allowing students to celebrate the season while building a connection between home and school.

Mrs. Alisa’s and Mrs. Julie’s class did a peep egg science experiment this week. They predicted what they thought would happen when the yellow egg sat in water for 24 hours. They were all surprised the next morning to find a sweet lil’ pink peep!!
