Three Upson-Lee High School NJROTC cadets recently participated in the Lighthouse Brigade Air Rifle Clinic held at Chattahoochee County High School in Cusseta, Georgia.
Cadets Ansley Tyssen, Heather Michael, and Madison Jones attended the clinic alongside Air Rifle Coach Anthony Kendall. During the event, cadets received instruction in marksmanship fundamentals, shooting techniques, and firearm safety from experienced coaches and competitors.
A highlight of the clinic was training with retired Sgt. 1st Class George Norton, a highly decorated former member of the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit who trained for Olympic competition and has mentored junior shooters across the country. Cadets benefited from his expertise and firsthand experience at the highest levels of competitive shooting.
