The Upson-Lee Knight s Track team returned from state championships this week with a lot of gold around their necks! Jayden Skelton won the state championship in the Boys 100 meter. In addition, Jayden Skelton, Bentavious Reviere, Keyuntae Colbert, and Akeondre Chaney brought home the state championship in the Boys 4 x 100. Jayden's individual victory was the first track state championship in ULHS history. The relay team's victory was the first relay state title in school history and the 2nd overall after Skelton's Boys 100 meter.
The Boys 4 x 400 relay team of Akeondre Chaney, Jordan Little, Marziah Myles, and Jayden Skelton were the state runner-ups (2nd place). The boys 4 x 200 team consisting of Carmello Fredericks, Jordan Little, Keyuntae Colbert, and Joshawn Dozier finished 5th in the state.

Girls 400 meter- Tykendra Daniel 7th in state
Boys 200 meter- Keyuntae Colbert 10th
Girls 4x400- Tykendra Daniel, Laila Foster, Shatavia King, Kinsley Woodard 13th
Girls 1600- Jayme Carroll 16th
Boys Long Jump- Keyuntae Colbert 4th Place
Girls Discuss- Jamayah Carthon 5th Place
Girls Pole Vault- Sage Hadley 7th Place
Girls Shot Put- Jamayah Carthon 9th
Boys High Jump Boys- Zay Barkley 12th
Girls High Jump- Kinsley Woodard 15th
We would also like to share several Knights Points of Pride from the events! Keyuntae Colbert qualified for ALL 4 EVENTS he competed in and won a medal in 3 of the 4. He also came in 4th in long jump with almost no practice time in the event! Sage Hadley placed 7th in Girl's Pole Vault with only 5 weeks of practice. Amazing what they accomplished!
With only 4 seniors leaving next year, the future is bright for our track team.
