February 27th was a historic evening, Knights Tennis got to hold their first home match at the new ULHS Tennis Courts. Although the entire Softball and Tennis Complex is not complete athletes and spectators were able to use the new courts and bleachers to enjoy an evening of tennis.
Senior Molly Greer shared "Going from playing on dull, cracked courts to bright and brand-new courts was such a needed change! I'm glad I get the chance to be one of the first to play on them for my senior year! The match was tough because of the wind, but I tried my best to be consistent despite the fact. You either win or learn, and this match was a learning one for me. It was great to see lots of new people come to support us and see the new courts!" The new facilities offer students and spectators an opportunity to feel they matter, 10th grader Avery Greer commented “These tennis courts are awesome for us. Compared to the other courts our friends and family can watch us closer and they don’t have to stand while they do. It means a lot to the team to know our school and community cares and invests in our success.”
Come out to the High School, see the facility and support the athletes at their next home match on March 6, 2024 versus Northside Columbus. Matches begin at 4pm.
