Yesterday we wrapped up our Swine Production Unit in Animal Science. Today we took a field trip to Morgan Livestock/ Slosheye Show Pigs to take a look into modern pork production! A huge thank you to Mr. Frank Morgan for taking the time to show our students real examples of the practices and facilities that they learned about in class.
Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE) is preparing Georgia's students for their next step after high school--college, beginning a career, registered apprenticeships, or the military. Georgia CTAE pathway course offerings, and the new Educating Georgia's Future Workforce initiative, leverage partnerships with industry and higher education to ensure students have the skills they need to thrive in the future workforce.
Mrs.Kelly criminal investigation students are learning how to collect evidence that's connected to a crime that has been committed. Mrs.Kelly demonstrated on how to dust and lift fingerprints. After demonstrating the technique students participated and were engaged in the hands-on activity of dusting and lifting fingerprints.
ULHS SkillsUSA Chapter competed in the regional competition in Columbus,Ga on Friday February 3rd.
SkillsUSA competitors won 11 medals and will advance to the state competition in Atlanta Ga.
